Week of July 5 , 2006 | Carolyn Parkhurst

This week’s guest is Carolyn Parkhurst. We discuss her new novel LOST AND FOUND, which is my July book of the month club selection.

The new novel, published by Little, Brown, is Ms. Parkhursts’s second novel. THE DOGS OF BABEL, her first novel, was a best seller when published in 2003.

Second novels are notoriously difficult to write; particularly when the first has been a best seller. I believe LOST AND FOUND is a much more satisfying novel than THE DOGS OF BABEL, and strongly recommend it to readers interested in a fascinating look not only at reality TV, but more importantly a look into our collective souls. Enjoy!
